The laughs are non-stop when Viola, disguised as her twin brother Sebastian, joins the high school boys' soccer team and helps win the big game while unexpectedly falling for Duke, the hot star forward. Viola discovers that dealing with high school politics and twisted love triangles is a major challenge when you're a guy who's really a girl!

We were looking for a movie that required no brainpower whatsoever, the sort of rubbishy Netflix movie that is just some eye candy. I’m not sure how we stumbled across this one, we’d put it on some kind of wishlist somewhere somewhen, but had no idea what it was about.
It turned out to be a really good film, funny and with interesting thoughts on gender, a little bit stereotypical in places, and a clear gaping hole in how she thought things were going to resolve themselves if it hadn’t all gone wrong like it did.
Bynes was really good, although not convincing as a boy at all. Her facial expressions were exceptional! It’s cheesy, no doubt, but not at all the rubbish film we had anticipated.
