Queen Poppy, Branch and the rest of your favourite Trolls are back for another musical adventure that's bigger - and louder - than ever before! In Trolls World Tour, Poppy and Branch discover that their kingdom is only one of six musical realms - Funk, Country, Techno, Classical, Pop, and Rock - that were once united in perfect harmony. When the power-hungry ruler of the Rock Trolls threatens to silence all other music so her tribe can reign supreme, Poppy and Branch must embark on an epic quest to unite the realms of Trollkind, before the songs in their hearts are lost forever!
|1:31||Were there more trolls than just trolls in terms of toys?|
|2:04||Forget that. I think I’d have heard of a techno troll.|
|5:01||“We’re all gonna be one nation of trolls, under rock.”|
|6:26||I want to fist bump the sun.|
|8:05||Weirdest thing ever, trolls upside down dancing on their hair.|
|11:20||What is the deal with chilling someone out by poking them in the eye?|
|13:39||Okay, I can’t wait to see the country trolls.|
|23:21||“This is gonna take a a lot of hugs.”|
|28:38||She’s right though. Cards that spit glitter at you are THE WORST.|
|39:51||I like their version of Apple Watch stand goal but for hugs.|
|50:29||Bit of a burn against disco there.|
|53:34||I was not expecting some actually quite serious social commentary in this.|
|1:01:32||The yodellers are fun!|
|1:08:56||It must be impossible to play guitar with three fingers. I can barely manage with five.|
|1:09:31||“Who’s ready to get ripping tattoos everywhere but our faces in case we still need office jobs?” HAHAHA.|
|1:14:59||They totally stole these visuals from the Coldplay wristband thing.|
|1:21:13||“You can’t harmonise alone.”|
Right. They’re touting this as the one that will change the movie world forever - because it’s absolutely bypassing the cinema and coming straight into our homes as we’re all locked down. Did it have to be a Trolls sequel that did this? Because of that, of course, Mr C was adamant we had to watch it.
Not only would we not have done this if it wasn’t a straight-to-home release but I feel like we would have actively avoided it. The first movie was headache-inducing and the trailer for this one was absolutely all over the place.
Actually, the story made more sense than the trailer made it seem. It was still loud and bright and glittery but I didn’t end up with a headache. I felt like the songs weren’t as strong, but I did enjoy country trolls and there was quite a lot of fun in guessing who all the famous people behind the voices were. So that’s something.
Not recommended, but not as bad as I was expecting.
