6:34The pole thing, though, I don’t know how it’s possible.
8:36“Climb in my fur.”
11:14Julia! Haven’t seen her since Bourne!
15:14I hope she not taking that flute out front?
20:20“It’s just business, and it’s a more honest transaction than anything they did that day.”
23:38Dorothy just feels like a really weird name in this context.
24:16“Motherhood is a mental illness.”
25:47“Seriously, you could be a font.” Hands down, the worst chat up line ever.
30:40Never would have thought of a whole other industry being affected by the Wall Street Crash.
35:37There’s no one there now! If there’s anything worse than a strip club, it’s a basically empty strip club.
40:15Well she pronounces wedding like weidin and it’s awesome.
47:59I’m not happy about the plan, but she’s not wrong with her reasoning.
52:13‘Hi baby, what happened, who woke you up?” Adorable!
53:40Jeez, they’ve gone full Breaking Bad.
58:51She’s so right, I’m not drinking anything given to me ever again.
1:06:02I don’t think I want to wear anything for which you can ask “what was it?”
1:17:22I wish I could do that more in my life. Just yell NO and run off
1:28:43This Dawn creature is not good.
1:36:57We. were. hurricanes.
1:42:13“You got people tossing the money and people doing the dance.”

Thoughts

A great film this one. Takes a minute to get used to the masses of stilettos and the lack of clothing on display but once you’re in the right headspace, it’s really just a female version of The Wolf of Wall Street - hustlers using their skills to get the most out of the greedy, without feeling guilty about it.

Constance Wu is great and the relationship between her and Jennifer starts off a bit weird but you soon wonder how they ever weren’t friends. And of course, it’s insane to think that Jennifer is fifty years old, she is absolutely incredible.

Great music, brilliant woman, a bit of a heist, what’s not to like?
