3:23God sport is hard. And so mean on kids!
5:59The Duck phone.
9:01Oooh, I wonder what his community service will be. Ice Ice Baby.
12:19That is the most convoluted trick I’ve ever seen kids play.
13:50Dude, baby Joshua Jackson is the absolute cutest.
16:23“We’re impressionable kids, right?”
21:21For goodness sake, men and their sports and their cars. Grr.
24:44Oof, the bit where they bash into each other against the walls.
25:35“Just take the goal,” hehe, I’d be like that in goal too.
29:02“Take the fall, act hurt, get indignant.”
31:09It’s difficult to storm out with dignity on skates.
35:02HE MADE HIM SKATES.
39:24“I’m learning a lot about teamwork, fair play and all that junk.”
43:19Someone’s got to clean up all those eggs tho.
50:14I don’t know if I ever have seen ducks flying in formation.
52:26Sorry, I don’t care how hard you push it, quacking is not cool.
54:55That’s some proper decoy genius.
57:48“You’re not even a has-been. You’re a never-was.”
1:02:39A bit of Pacey wisdom.
1:04:56Why don’t they just move house then? Be in the right jurisdiction.
1:07:45“I want to talk to you guys.” “PEOPLE.”
1:19:59They can’t win it though, that’s not how these films go.
1:29:48Duck hockey.
1:35:32Why didn’t I see this coming?? The penalty. The Charlie.
1:39:13The cake-eater thing is really stressing me out.

Thoughts

I wasn’t expecting too much from this movie, but we wanted something completely different to the previous film and I knew this was relatively well-liked and culturally referenced work. Plus, I like Emilio.

It was a nice, family-friendly, sports film - competition, drama, people working through their issues, and eventually doing the right thing. I enjoyed it.

I hadn’t realised, when watching it, that it was the first of a series of three, so rather than crossing one movie off my list, I’ve just added two more, but hey, wanting to watch the sequels means this must have been a good one!
