I quite enjoyed the other books in this series featuring Van Lifers travelling around in their little vans and having cosy encounters with their movable bookshops and bakeries. This one was similar but featuring a new set of characters as Flora left her life behind and started over in a Christmas shop campervan in Lapland. It’s a nice rom-com with funny moments and plenty of fun characters to follow around.

I don’t remember buying this book, the follow up to the first in the series from Rosie’s point of view. I don’t know that the first one blew me away but actually I quite liked dipping back into our travelling group, following them this time across the sea to France. Drama and romance are all over the place, but there were some good insights into dealing with grief and how hard it is to try and move on with your life when your heart is left in the past.

Rosie's Travelling Tea Shop by Rebecca Raisin

With the world imploding, I’m occasionally in the mood for a soft and squishy rom-com style book, and this seemed to fit the bill. Rosie’s husband leaves her with some pretty dire warnings about how her orderliness will keep her single and unhappy for the significant future. So she upends her entire life, buys a van, leaves London and hits the road, dispensing tea and cakes at various festivals. Along the way she finds friends and love, and a little bit of happiness.
