Ten pin bundling

I always like to look at the iTunes Film Bundles section, to see what they’ve got on offer. They do a lot of franchise bundles – Back to the Future, Harry Potter, etc. – but this past week I noticed they were doing a set of genre collections instead.

The brilliance of these bundles is that they are around the £40 mark, for ten films. And not ten rubbishy films, they’re pretty good movies, in HD format. That makes them about £4 each, which is a bargain by anyone’s standards.

They’ve got action titles, family friendly films and award-winning classics. I am very intrigued by the sci-fi bundle and the comedy set though.

The 10 Must Own Sci-Fi Titles, for example, contains the following:

  • District 9
  • 2012
  • Battle: Los Angeles
  • Terminator Salvation
  • Total Recall
  • Moon
  • Gattaca
  • Close Encounters of the Third Kind
  • Hellboy
  • Ghost Rider

Some of these we’ve seen already, some we want to own but don’t, some we have to watch, and sure, there are a couple we aren’t bothered about, but at a decent HD price, it’s very, very tempting.

More of these bundles please, Apple.
