2012 Wk 8, And I said what about breakfast

I’ll admit it, I’ve been pretty hopeless with the running this week. With all kinds of healthy activities really. It’s just been hectic, and excuses, excuses, excuses. Today should have been my long run day but I woke with such a headache, I couldn’t face it. This is the first day in a long while where I have just had the entire day free to do what I want, and resting seemed more of an important option than running.

Which is bad, really, but never mind. I’ll try and do better next week.

I did go for one run on Wednesday, and it turned out to be one of the best in a long while. That really did get my spirits up, particularly considering what a week it has been. Remember this run when things get tough.

What I have been struggling with recently is the food routine. I’ve been attempting breakfast for more than a month now and it doesn’t get any nicer. Is that normal? I’m definitely into more of a routine with food, which is good, but it’s still not easy even after all this practice. I do feel like I have a bit more energy, though. I’m not sure I could have survived these busy weeks on my previous one-meal-a-day regime!

There’s nothing wrong with taking a day off if you feel that way. You ran wednesday anyway. Sometimes it’s better to have a day off than hurt yourself.

  2. What are you eating for breakfast? I love breakfast. The idea of waiting for it to get nicer is very foreign to me 🙂

  3. I’ve tried muesli, cereal, fruit. Can’t face toast. Settled on these breakfast biscuit things as they are least offensive first thing.

  4. Breakfast is the best thing. I sometimes have it as an evening snack. Dad never has it either, which I can never understand because if i go without it before work I get incredibly hungry by 11.30am, way before I can have any lunch.
You could have the mini Weetabix with the chocolate in, fairly healthy and worth looking forward to! I prefer cereal because the milk helps hydrate you without having to bother getting another drink.
I never got the hang of muesli though I have it sometimes to try and be healthy. Like sawdust with nuts in.
