2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 52,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 19 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

  1. For whatever reason, the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing page linked to my Friday Five Thoughts on the Contestants and so every single Saturday there was a massive surge of visitors. That post also was commented on regularly until the competition finished… despite being very, very out of date by then!

  2. I had no idea the Strictly post was getting comments in the weeks after it was published. You need a doohickey. Also you need a Strictly end of series post so I can moan about the unfairness of it all.

19 sold out concerts would have made a lot of money.

  3. I absolutely can write a wrap up. I was going to but time got away from me and then I thought it was too late. If there is demand, I’ll write it đŸ™‚

  4. I demand it.

How can you write about all the stages and not write about the ending? It would be like writing Film Watches and ignoring the last 20 minutes of the films.
