Franck gets a teammate – maybe?

There’s more news about Franck today, although not directly relating to him, and it has me even more confused about this Superleague thing.

The story suggests that FKM is getting a French teammate, but actually, he’s not in the same “football team” as he is, but they are the same race team.

My investigations reveal that the race team is Barazi-Epsilon, and they provide the means for two football clubs to race – Galatasaray S.K. and our favourites GD Bordeaux. Tristan Gommendy has transferred from another team to the Galatasaray one, whilst FKM is happy at Bordeaux.

Either way, Tristan had some nice things to say about our Franck:

“I am extremely happy to be racing in Superleague Formula again this season and very pleased to be team mates with Franck Montagny at Barazi-Epsilon. To have two drivers of such a high level in the same team will help us to be competitive, as the standard is looking even harder than during the previous years. Without any doubt, Superleague Formula will be one of the most difficult championships in Europe to win this season.”

It will also be one of the most difficult championships to follow if the last few posts are anything to go by!

  1. It won’t be that difficult to follow. Once it starts it is basically racing. The football part just causes confusion and I still can’t figure what the football teams get out of it.
